Good Tears

Children of the caregiver and wounded veteran enjoy new fishing supplies.

“Everything that you’re doing is absolutely amazing and it is so greatly appreciated. You have no idea how much this means to us. I cried good tears today for the first time in a very long time.”

The Quality of Life Foundation is honored to work with a wounded veteran caregiver, spouse, and mother of four. She provides daily care to her husband and USMC veteran due to the severity of his visible and invisible injuries as a result of multiple deployments during his service of nearly twenty years. While the caregiver and veteran navigate the complicated VA system and a myriad of medical appointments, the family has been struggling to make ends meet as they await the veteran’s unpaid earned compensation, and they have had no room for “extras”.

We assisted this family with extra-curricular activities for the children, a computer, and some other items that they shared would help them along the way. It has been our privilege to help this family achieve a better quality of life.
