We are excited to welcome Keisha Walker to the team as a long-term intern. She is a prior-service military veteran, and currently-serving military spouse. She was raised as a military, transient child, living in multiple locations. Keisha is pursuing a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Southern California, with a concentration in Families and Children and a sub-concentration in Military Social Work. In the past two years, she enjoyed volunteering at Project D.A.T.E., in Hawaii, which served the homeless, veteran population. She made an appearance on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition during the opening of the newly constructed home for homeless, female Veterans in 2011. Keisha enjoys serving in faith-based organizations, playing the saxophone and the drums. She will be working with wounded veteran families and helping out in the main office. Keisha’s skills and experience will be a tremendous asset to the QoLF team!
