Over the course of 2014 and 2015, the Quality of Life Foundation has teamed with The Home Depot Foundation to help six wounded veterans and their families. The Home Depot Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of grants to military families and veterans in order to improve their homes and lives. The grants can then be used to purchase the materials and supplies needed for the project. With the help of The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer force called TeamDepot, we’ve been able to facilitate home modifications like new fencing to improve home safety, finishing a basement to provide space for hobbies, repairs to broken flooring, and sod in a back yard to make it safer for children. These grants have made homes more livable and comfortable places to be and have even given one caregiver to have a place of her own where she can write and paint!
The Quality of Life Foundation appreciates everything that The Home Depot Foundation has done to help these military families.
